National Grid Electricity Transmission is consulting on proposals for upgrading the electricity network between the North Humber and High Marnham - What you need to know

The first stage of public consultation has now started. The consultation is running for eight weeks, from 1 June to 27 July. As a community that is located within 1 km of our emerging preferred corridor, residents may wish to read the information in full and contribute to the survey.

Rural Households Survey on the Cost of Living

The Rural Services Network in partnership with the Citizens Advice is running a Rural Cost of Living Household Survey.

HOW WILL THE RESULTS BE USED?

Results from the survey will build on the Rural Cost of Living research we commissioned last year and help us to lobby Government Departments, MPs and other policy makers for a fairer deal for rural communities.

Official Opening of 'The Jungle' at Elloughton Road Play Park

We would like to thank all those who attended the opening of our new piece of playground equipment, ‘The Jungle’ on Wednesday 30th November 2022.

Good Afternoon, I would like to thank you all for coming. We are here today to celebrate the official opening of our new piece of playground equipment, the “Jungle” from Playscheme.

 

We at Elloughton-cum-Brough Town Council are delighted that the project is now complete and in use for the children of Elloughton-cum-Brough. We are continuously striving to upgrade our community facilities and look forward to sharing with you our future plans and projects for 2023.

 

Finally, I’d like to say a few thank you’s to all the people who helped make this happen. To the Town Council office staff, thank you for your hard work securing the new equipment as well as the successful completion of the grant. Thank you to the team at Playscheme, for your excellent service and efficient installation of the new equipment. And finally, we are extremely grateful to FCC Communities Foundation for providing the additional funding required for the purchase of the equipment, as we would not have been able to go ahead without their support.


Work begins on installation of new playground equipment in Elloughton-cum-Brough.

Building work is under way to install ‘The Jungle’ from Playscheme for children at Elloughton Road Playground.

The project, which is being funded by a £15,544.00 grant from FCC Communities Foundation as well as additional funding of £4114.98 by Elloughton cum Brough Town Council, will provide, once it is opened in the next few days.

Cllr Chris Duckles, Chair of Elloughton-cum-Brough Town Council Environment Committee is excited that the new equipment is on site and that the project is starting to take shape. He says: “It’s great to see our vision for this vital community facility moving closer to reality. We are extremely grateful for the funding FCC Communities Foundation has given us and we’re looking forward to seeing it open for the children to enjoy.”

FCC Communities Foundation is a not-for-profit business that awards grants for community projects through the Landfill Communities Fund.

Cheryl Raynor, FCC Community Foundations local grant manager says: “It’s wonderful to see something we have funded starting to take shape on site and we look forward to work being completed and ready to be enjoyed by the local children. We are always happy to consider grant applications for projects that benefit local communities, and this is a great example of what can be achieved.”
